Fire on Cajon Pass

On Saturday, August 17, I was approaching the pass on my way home to Victorville from Corona and could not figure out why I-15 was so heavy with traffic on a late Saturday afternoon.  I soon found out.  But I think I was in the twilight zone because the first weird thing was the temperature reading.
Not what the temp really was.
This was the first reason for the traffic.
Then the first fire.
Then the second fire.
Good thing I got through when I did.

On the road to SD

Interstate I-15, I travel it often.  Here we were heading to “mommy’s” on Mar 11, 2011, so my kids could spend the weekend with their mom.  We hit this parking lot a little more than half way there.  And I was lucky enough to capture this classic car stuck with us.

On my way back from dropping them off, I see what’s left of the “why” we were waiting.  This was all shot with my handy PowerShot S5 IS.
