Calming Vibes

You might be wondering what I’m doing. I’m trying to send along some calming vibes, from me to you, by way of my print, “Green Joshua”. I’m asking you to slow down so you can really see it. Besides, I think we are all going too fast anyway. That being said, my prints are designed to be seen in person. Face-to-face interaction works best with this work.

If you would like to purchase a print, send me an Instagram DM at elmp_kap or email me at ELMPhoto.FA@gmail.com. If you live in California, I may be able to deliver the artwork to you personally.

2025 pricing breakdown:
Size 12"x18", for $1,500.00
Size 20"x30", for $3,100.00
Size 30"x45", for $4,600.00

Each work is an edition of 5 with 2 artist proofs. The prints have a slightly satin, nearly matte finish, and are printed on enamel coated aluminum using archival pigmented inks ensuring their longevity and beauty for years to come. And I have a frame attached to the back of each print to help make print hanging easy.

The LMF Gallery + Darkroom

The F/8 Photography group show is still going on until September 3rd. It’s an imaginative presentation of some amazing photographs. You’ll feel the real purpose of the work when you see it up close. And I mean that for all of the prints, not just mine.

13th Biennial Ontario Open Exhibition, Opening Reception

Hey, don’t mind me. I just broke my website again. For me, WordPress is not user friendly. I even paid for services from an outside vender once. I’m never doing that again – it still hurts. I need to change subjects though. We have another group show coming up, gang! This one is in Ontario, CA and it’s free to the public. Next Saturday at 2pm. That’s May 3rd next Saturday. I hope to see you there.

Identity

Time is just flying by. Sometimes, it’s a challenge to keep. Like keeping up with the new shows I’m in. Currently, I have two more prints in an exhibition in Livermore, CA. The show, “Identity: Defining Identity Through Visual Expression”, is currently open and runs through May 4th. It’s a group show and free to enter. You should have a look if you get the chance to.

I Like Bergamot Station Arts Center

I think it was sometime last year, I heard someone say or maybe I was talking with the person who said something kind of disparaging about Bergamot Station Arts Center. Whatever or whomever it was, I don’t agree. I like Bergamot Station Arts Center. It's like a small art show every time you go there. There is a lot of photography there too. If you have never been there, you should go. If you’re into art, I think you’ll like it.

I like hanging out here the most.

Danziger is no longer here.

I managed to photograph myself on this one.

One day I will have an exhibition here at the Rose Gallery

Hello friends and poetry lovers. I’m shaking the cobwebs off of my blog as I need it for the great things that are coming in the near future. I was also wondering if I should scrub the old stuff or just leave it so folks can see a part of the journey. Tell me what you think about keeping or getting rid of the old stuff.

I should probably read it before I do anything else, just in case.

The image with this post is Kinetic Ambiguity 13468. That’s its name. It’s nick name is “Ice Tea” because it kind of looks like a glass of ice tea.

Ok, I’ll talk with you soon.

Another Reason Why I Make Photographs

I got the chance to get out and make some images this weekend.  This was not on my list to do but it is no secret that I needed it – the therapy of making photographs.  When I am out there (anywhere really), with a camera in hand, the therapeutic relief is not instant.  It takes some time before I relax a bit and get into the flow of my process.  It varies but generally it takes about 30 minutes and I begin to feel what I’m doing with my camera.  For me, it is a free consultation with a mental health profession.  When I’m done, I am in a more relaxed state of mind and can better work my way through some of my issues that need addressing in my world.  I don’t know, but it may work for you too – if that is something that you need.
